I’m an only child in the family. We have been internally displaced (IDPs) due to the war twice and moved around Ukraine a lot.

I want to visit Minnesota to learn about young people there: how they live, learn, and contribute to their communities.

When the war first started in 2014, we were forced to leave our home in Donbas. In eight years, we changed six cities and 12 apartments.

I love my native land and want to learn new skills in America for the sake of improving the situation in Ukraine.

I teach gymnastics to internally displaced children in my community. It helps them become more purposeful, fit, and healthy. It also helps their mental state at this difficult time.

In Minnesota, I would love to meet local people, learn about their way of living, and receive new leadership skills.

Before the war, we were a typical nuclear family: my mother, step-dad, brother, and I. But now, we moved away from our home and joined our extended family.

This trip will greatly improve my leadership and communication skills.

My family consists of my mom, dad, and little sister who is in 5th grade now. Together we love to go for walks, play board games, cook, and go to the theater.

I have long wanted to visit the USA. I love learning about leadership, and I would like to learn how to apply this skill.

My family consists of my mother, father, younger brother, and me. We have an atmosphere of complete trust, so we discuss all problems and solve them together.

The trip to America is a great opportunity to improve my English and spend time with a family different from mine.

After our trip to Minnesota, I will advance my organizational skills and improve my English.

The U.S. is my dream destination. I love learning about the lives of teens there and want to experience it myself.

Due to the terrible events in my country, my father joined the defenders, which served as a huge example for me to follow. I joined the "IT army" to help my country.

Due to recent events, I consider it important to benefit Ukrainian society, develop myself, and help others.

My father used to work as a sales manager, but now he is in the military. My mother is a teacher at a military university, and my sister Elmira is six.

I’m interested in getting to know the culture and values ​​of another country and to share my experiences.

I live with my mom and dad. I also have an older brother. Unfortunately, my dad is sick right now, and l help my mum to take care of him. I hope that soon everything will be fine.

During my stay in America, I can make something new and interesting for my city with a group of interested people.

My father works in the aviation security service and my mother is the manager at a pharmacy. At the start of the war, I helped dig trenches and build shelters locally.

My overall goal of the trip is the development of leadership qualities in order to help implement various projects better.

My parents are both professors at a local university. I also have a younger brother. I volunteer at an orphanage in my community and participate in activities to protect nature.

I am excited ted to take part in this program! I want to gain the knowledge to be an instrument for social change.
