May 27: Relief Updates

With donations slowing down significantly in the past few weeks, we were able to transfer less funds to Ukraine. However, our incredible volunteers on the ground have managed to find ways to support more communities even with less funding available. In this update, we will be highlighting the outcome of one transfer and some updates from various other initiatives. For security reasons, we won’t be mentioning the exact locations where our volunteers send life-saving food and medications, as some of these locations are under occupation.

St. Thomas Aquinas Institute (Kharkiv Region). $2,500

Maksym and Olena have been supporting almost a dozen communities across the front lines. This week, they procured a large humanitarian aid shipment through a friend working at Amazon in the USA. Our donations were extremely valuable in paying for the large shipment fees, allowing six palettes from Amazon to go to six cities in Ukraine. The aid received covered all needs for summer clothes, diapers, and baby items for displaced children.

Additionally, Maksym and Olena procured and sent out medications requested by a community in need. They continued supporting a small canned food production facility which has proven to be essential in supplying elderly people in occupied territories who would not have had food to survive otherwise.

In one of the most challenging locations that Maksym and Olena are supporting, there are over 24,000 internally displaced people. The needs are constant: food, hygiene products, medications, etc. Each donation helps save lives of the most vulnerable, so thank you for supporting our efforts!

Parish of St. Spyridon Trimifunt (Sumy Region)

We received an update from Father Oleksandr from the Parish of St. Spyridon Trimifunt. There has been a significant shortage of gasoline, which has made it nearly impossible to do damage repairs on houses in the village. Father Oleksandr has put his efforts into providing food for the elderly and other people in need. We hope that his community will be able to resume their repair work before the winter.

Total amount transferred to Ukraine to date is $118,150
