April 29: Relief Updates

Another week of air raids, resilience, hard work, and incredible community-to-community support. Our focus over the last week has been on procuring medical supplies in some regions, providing canned food to a territory under occupation, and food and shelter for internally displaced people and foster families with orphans.

St. Thomas Aquinas Institute (Kharkiv Region) $2,000

  • Donated funds were used to buy medications, hygiene products, and food for several communities in the Kharkiv and Kyiv regions. This week, our volunteers were also able to access a community in desperate need of food, medicine, and drinking water. No humanitarian aid has been allowed to reach this community for several weeks. A shipment of canned meat, water filters, and medications successfully made its way to this community thanks to the bravery of our partners and your support.

NGO “CLAS” (Luhansk Region) $5,000

  • Our trusted partner on the ground continues to support the most vulnerable members of several communities in the Luhansk region. With the fighting intensifying in close proximity to these communities, the decision has been made to ensure there are plenty of food supplies for residents and an emergency fund for urgent evacuations.

In addition to purchasing food for foster homes with orphans, volunteers are also now able to add additional shelter and beds for incoming internally displaced people. This has been made possible thanks to a local university offering their gym to host as many people as possible and funds from Global Synergy Group.

Total amount transferred to Ukraine to date is $98,650
